Our API grade Bentonite is a pure sodium-based product, processed from carefully selected ore with high Montmorillonite content. It contains over 85% Smectite, the active clay component, as determined by colloid and x-ray diffraction analysis. This grade is primarily used as a viscosifier and fluid loss-reducing agent, particularly effective in freshwater applications.
Additionally, our pre-hydrated API grade Bentonite is suitable for use in both brackish and saltwater environments.
